The NDIS regularly publishes a range of market data to inform both existing and prospective providers. This includes the Quarterly Report to the Council of Australian Governments which provides insights on each jurisdictions’ transition to the NDIS and the Market Position Statement, a series of documents developed to highlight demand for services and workforce in local markets.
National Disability Services
National Disability Services (NDS) is Australia’s peak body for non-government disability service providers representing more than 1100 non-government providers. NDS has offices in all Australian states and territories, where events for disability service providers are regularly hosted.
Business SA is South Australia’s peak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and peak Employer body, and host a range of training and events and provides advocacy for South Australian businesses.
Collaboration Solution Centre
The Department for Trade, Tourism and Investment (DTTI) has provided the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) with funding to develop a blueprint for an industry led Collaboration Solution Centre (CSC). The CSC will play a vital role in connecting business and facilitating collaboration both within the disability sector and supporting industries.
Workforce Wizard is a simple online tool to help disability organisations track workforce trends. The tool allows providers to track workforce metrics over time, compare workforces within their business and benchmark their workforce against other providers.
Costing and Pricing Learning Program
The Costing and Pricing Learning Program has been developed by NDS and Curtin University to help meet the costing and pricing challenge currently facing providers transitioning to the NDIS.
NDIS Provider Readiness Toolkit
The NDIS Provider Readiness Toolkit is a self-assessment tool designed to help organisations identify their current capacity for change, and areas they should focus on if they are to be successful under the NDIS.
Sector Development Fund
The Sector Development Fund (SDF) is a Commonwealth Government initiative to support the development of a vibrant market for disability services. Through the SDF a number of resources have been developed to support the disability services sector.
There are a range of grant funding programs, events and training designed to support new and existing businesses.
